There are furloughs being handed out left and right to the city, state and government workers. We were told that we will be hit with furloughs as well. Losing pay is not going to be easy on anyone. So during a meeting we were told that we need to be aware and prepared to deal with a jump in depression, suicidal ideologies/ideations and suicide threats.

In one sentence we get told you will be going on out furloughs and that we need to be aware and supportive to those in need. Yes, that makes sense.......cut our hours and then tell us we will be needed more while we are out on a furlough day. A jump in possible suicides while no one is there to help? We are in for a bumpy ride. I refuse to give up my phone. I won't. Someone has to be there. Just one person.

The career politician should never have been allowed. They are more hurtful than helpful.

Today, my oldest son starts his hike of 14,505 feet to the top of Mt. Whitney. It is the highest summit in California. Once he reaches the top, he will camp there for 2 days and then begin his descent down the other side. He will be out in the wilderness for over 10 days. Last year, during winter, he made the trek with his girl friend. This time he wanted to go alone. Alone or with another, I will always worry. He has all of the necessary survival gear, but it is his curiosity that worries me. Both of my boys are like me. Yes, that is exactly why I am worried......lol. While some parents are telling their kids "Don't do that, you will get hurt" I was the Mom who said "Let's try it and see what happens" hahahaha.

I am comfortable knowing that he has knowledge and experience about first aid, dangerous plants, bears, cougars and snakes. He learned those at an early age when we would go camping in the wilderness every year in Nevada, Arizona or Montana. My worries are over his desires to go off the beaten path to see what else he can find. Hmmmmmm? Just like his Mom....lol

Although he is a smart young man and very responsible, you cannot predict what the elements will do. The worry began last night and will not end until I hear his voice "Ma, I am not dead" Which is exactly what he will probably say. Gee? Where did he get his sense of morbid humour?

When I get ready for duty I am dressed to take care of business. But don't let the blonde hair, playful lite green eyes,, calm attire and demure manner fool you. Don't get me wrong, I am not a devil. But I do have tools under my belt...or attached to it...that can take me from demure to wicked in no time.


But at home, with the right man beside me or in me *snicker* It is nice to have a balance of wicked and innocence. My pink panties with hearts, coupled with a nice pair of heels could strike a balance quite nicely.


Just as the right man can find my wicked playful side, he would also be able to see the soft innocent side. I am as sweet as pie...honest..I am. I wear a halo and I become and angel of the sun. Under soft silk and satin beats the heart of wicked innocence.




Striking a balance is what life is all about. Fine tune it, use it and enjoy.

Sister M wants to learn how to drive stick and take her driving test in one. This woman crashes into curbs while trying to man the hand brakes on her bike! Seriously! One time, she pressed the front brakes instead of the back brakes and it sent her flying over the handlebars. Now what kind of video can I send her to compliment my devilish mind? Oooh it will have to be a good one!

I feel that it's my duty to notify the authorities and save the lives of thousands of innocent Oregonians. What can I put in the bulletin? Stay off the roads if you see an uncoordinated croc wearing, rainbow or balloon covered sock loving, 3 sweater wearing, 4 foot 8 inch standing, car freshener buying, grey haired 63 yr old with coke bottle glasses?

I have a long night ahead of me..........lol

There are numerous artists that come and go in our lives. We may not know them personally but they do touch us in some way. They may leave this world naturally or at the hands of someone else. It doesn't matter how they die, all I know it that they leave behind legacies and memories for everyone who had the pleasure of seeing how talented they were. The Beatles were before my time but I still found an adoration in John Lennon.

I miss John. His talent, caring and loving nature, his natural humour and his words of wisdom. Luckily for us, we can read, listen and see all of these in what he created and left behind.

My favorite Beatles interview was when they asked John why the name "Beatles?" He mentioned that a man carrying a flaming pie appeared in his dream and told him to name the group the Beatles with an "A"

I guess I am feeling nostalgic from listening to his music this morning.

Sister M sent me an email. At the age of 63 she has announced that she will be getting her drivers license. God save the innocent people on the road.

This was tooooooooooooo good to pass up! So I sent her this gif and pleaded with her to change her mind.



Will she laugh? Don't know. I know that I am.

I can't say that I am going to linger around the apartment in my pajamas, because I do not wear any. But I am going to linger around the apartment and then head out for a walk and say a joyous "Happy 4th!" to everyone I see. I have done this for years! Relax and then spread my 4th of July joy.

Because of a childhood accident that resulted in me being set on fire, I am not a fan of fireworks. I may not go and watch or use fireworks on this day, but that has never stopped me from knowing and understanding why they are used. Ever since I became old enough to appreciate the significance of Independence Day, I spend this day reflecting on what it means to me. I can tell you right now that every where I turn in my surroundings, my car or apartment, there is a red, white and blue item visible. So you see, to me everyday is 'I Love the USA' day.
