thebody2nv's blog post - I can't handle this..........................................

Today just sucks!!!! I guess it started last night. I tore my Vastus Medialis muscle in my leg squatting last night, it F*kn hurts!!!! This getting older is becoming very hard for me to accept and deal with. No I'm not "old." However I'm not a kid anymore either, and when I'm in the gym I have a problem with that. I wasn't doing anything stupid or even going that heavy. I squatted and it popped. It felt like someone stuck a knife in and separated the muscle. Consequently I didn't sleep very well last night. Mrs.Body says I screamed several times in the night, I don't remember it.

So I get up tired and cranky, limping, stairs very hard to navigate, I get ready for work, go out and start my truck. Theres a rustling noise under the hood. I unlatch the hood, tilt it up and find one of my belt tensioners is coming apart and shredding the serpentine belt. AAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! I, now, bad leg and all, have to climb up this behemoth and take everything apart and drive 40 miles to my nearest International dealer to buy the parts and lose a whole day off work!!!!

I do look at it this way however, It could be worse, I heard the noise this morning, BEFORE I left. It didn't break last night while driving home, AND It's supposed to snow TOMORROW, and it's in the 50's here today so it's not so bad working outside. I think the good Lord is still looking after me, He just likes to tease me now and again
