i was just reading about the fires in Australia. until you see it, you really don't have an understanding of the destruction that comes with these natural events. when we were on vacation, we drove through homestead florida---that is where hurricane Andrew hit in the late mid 1990's--almost 20 years ago, and they are still rebuilding, still empty lots and what is there is new. i think that sometimes we think that the event occurs and is over. and we have become such "instant" people, that we have no understanding of how long those impacted by the event have to suffer and how long it really does take to recover, if ever. prayers and warm thoughts to all who have been or are in path of natures wrath. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx sammie alice |
