i was going to include this in my comment but it was really to long and maybe heavy. we look amoung us and everyone is a slave to technology. ipods, smart phones, electronic messaging, face book. we have become a virtual world where we human touch is missing. we don't touch, we don't expose ourselves to the risk of being open to humanity--we have regressed back to an earlier time in history where we closed our eyes to humanity and had either xxxxxx relationships or only those with like thinking people. i am catholic and i can not even guess how many times i confessed mastrabation as a horrible sin. until i understood what was wrong with mastrabation. it was not that it was wrong, it was that no lover would ever be able to give me the physical pleasure that i could give myself and it was easy. and if i equated love with sex pleasure, i would never expose myself to the joy and humanity of being one with another. i would never expose my self to pain and dispointment, i would never grow as a human being. smart phones and technology don't add to our growth as humans, they take from it and unless we use them appropriately, they will cause the human side of us to be damaged and not grow. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx to all my human friends, cyber or other wise. |
