we are getting ready for a big storm. the weather folk are talking about flooding and rain and wind today (it is after midnight here. spent the evening gathering up flash lights, batteries, washing clothes, dishes. i really upsets me that hubby and daughter really don't understand why we have to prepare just in case. sure, maybe nothing happens, but we have been in these storms and had no power for 3 or four days. i even went out and tested the generator, got out my boots. damn, fall is here, it is getting darker earlier and the fall storms are arriving. i always hate the coming of winter. i hope my preparations just mean that i don't have to wash clothes over the weekend.

lol, finding batteries also means i have power for all of my toys )
