bad fire town thursday- 2 died living in an illegal loft over the kitchen of a Chineese restaurant, they didn't stand a chance. SMOKE DETECTORS everybody. they don't stop a fire, but if you are asleep- the smoke often won't wake you in time to get out- or wake you at all. Later that morning we got hit by a bus while responding to another restaurant fire. Everybody OK in both vehicles execpt for a strained neck to one of my guys. Got 4 hrs sleep not bad! Hope that fire is the last bad one for the holidays. Off to banks for more dealing with Moms estate stuff. No fun there!
