it's been busy! The other week I painted one of the outbuildings and Wolf's been busy cutting up a tree that fell and chasing the pigs who discovered that if you back into the electric fence it only hurts a little and you can get out and ruin the neighbor's sweet corn crop. Needless to say we weren't very happy with them and they've been locked up in a barn since. Good thing it's almost freezer time. My son started school this week and all's going well there. The boy grows like a weed though and I think new pants will be in order shortly. I can't believe these were purchased just before school ended and they're already starting to get short. He takes after his dad in the height department that's for sure. Things are going well with wasband and me. We seem to have gotten to a fairly comfortable friendly relationship. I even surprised him this week by signing all the papers to refinance the house. He had given me ample time to refinance to absolve him of any financial obligation on the loan and to split the original equity with him and I think he figured I'd wait a while. We had gotten an amazing rate when we first signed our loan but as I've been watching the housing market and the interest rates I thought it best to move on the refinancing while the getting was good. My rate did go up but not ridiculously and I was able to get appraised at a level which made sure the bank wouldn't charge PMI (private mortgage insurance). I paid off my car and my visa bill at the same time so the extra I have to pay on the mortgage will really only amount to about $100 extra when you take those payments into account. Plus this way, my interest paid is tax deductible and in my opinion, my government already gets enough of my money. Wolf and I finally got out to Boston the other week. I figured we needed a break from working so we left early and took the train into town. It was a beautiful day and we had a blast walking all over. We saw Chinatown, Fanuiel Hall, Quincy Market, the South Church, the Skywalk at the Prudential etc.., A lot of things have changed since I used to go there but a lot stays the same. We missed our original train out and ended up having to stay another 2 hours but we entertained ourselves with a trip to the Copley mall for chocolate covered strawberries and truffles then some people watching at the train station. We didn't get home until almost midnight but it was well worth the trip. Well, chores are calling so I'm off again for a while. Hope everyone is having a great season where ever you are. getting the laundry done kitt xxx |
