Wolf and I were saying that the weekend seemed busy. I did a lot of cleaning and then I had buyers come to the farm for goats. Wolf worked. We then had an engagement at some friends' for dinner and cards. It was just one thing after another. So, Sunday we decided to mellow out. We went to church, took a short ride and then came home to read the paper, listen to music and cook. Wolf made a fabulous meal of chicken enchiladas, refried beans and spanish rice. It was great! I took care of the cleanup, he called his mom and we chatted for a while. He fed the animals and by then my son came home. He was all jazzed because he had brought his Alienware home. He kept be-bopping in and out of the kitchen to tell me about some thing or another. In between his updates I read my bible, Wolf read his in the living room. We've decided on different tactics...I'm going straight through, he's jumping from old to new testament doing about 5 chapters in each at one time. Some people may find this odd but we both have strong faiths and derive great comfort from them. It's also a good example for children. My son will pick up the bible now and read it at times. Oddly enough he'll read it out loud when he's on the xbox in an effort to distract other players...go figure. All in all, Sunday was a relaxing and enjoyable day and what more can you ask for. still mellow kitt xxx |
