The Godfather I is done, on to The godfather II.

I recieved a wonderful, complimentary message from an unexpected source today.

When someone tells YOU you're wonderful, especially when they are world-class beautiful, it makes a guy want to fly above the clouds!

My thanks are endless, my heart is for the moment full of love and admiration.

Monday has arrived once more... and I spend these fleeting moments thinking of you, and how you never contact me on your own. I just recieve second-hand comments about my meanderings, or a little (supposedly) quick-witted note in answer to something you know I've written.

Such is life... I knew all along you didn't love me. Love... what an over-used word! The world could use more of it, but for me, not at the expense of false emotions. I'd rather have someone tell me exactly how they feel about me than to look at smiling faces that just want to stab me in the back, or let me fade away (in their eyes) because I don't grovel at their feet in worship.

... and everyone probably thought I was going to write about how much Monday's blow.

She said:

"You want to put that there? No way!"

I said:

"Why not?"

She said:

"Because, if you put it there someone could get hurt."

I said:

"Really?"

She said:

"Really!"

I said:

"So there's no chance you'll EVER let me put it there?"

She said:

"None. Never. End of discussion."

Sadly, I placed the claw-footed umbrella stand out by the curb for the junkman, vowing to give up on trying to help her with her home decoration.

The weekend has arrived...

Time for baseball, sunning, swimming, grilling, shopping, running errands and having a drink (or three! lol) and watching some movies.

Oh, did I forget sleeping in?

As a Marine Corp. buddy of mine is fond of saying:

Everyone does an impression, right?

Mine are classic movie stars like James Cagney, Edward G. Robinson, W.C. Fields, and John Wayne (to name a few).

Seth McFarland is a genius at impressions... he harkens back to Warner Bros. great Mel Blanc.
