Laid-back, easy going guy until my passions are aroused. I've been here 3 other times... I keep trying to get it right, I guess. lol

Heard on the old M*A*S*H tv show as Cl. Potter sang in the shower: "Oh, I love to go swimmin' with bow-legged women and swim between their legs." ![]()

| Monday, July 21, 2014, 6:09:08 PM- Monday rant(s) | ||||||
Item one: My oldest and dearest friend sent me an email today(a forward), wailing about Clinton's daughter marrying the son of an ex-politician/crook. I wrote him back and ranted about politics in general, but also about how I never see him any more. We both started out poor, and he is quite well off now, while I remain a simple working joe. I made bad choices in my life, and I think he learned from them and avoided them. lol It's no wonder I don't see him as much any more... he is ultra conservitive right wing (funny, considering this is the same guy who had long hair and smoked dope with me all the time when we first met at age 19), while I am slightly to the left of middle-of-the-road (now. lol). I told him... one of the best ways to piss me off on Mondays is to start spreadin' that hater stuff! Item two: I saw an article in the local rag today about how people are flooding the city's understaffed department about cutting down weeds. Fuck me running! Can't people take a little responsibility and show some pride in their surroundings without expecting someone ELSE to do it for them? Get a lawn mower or weed wacker and do it yourself and quit bitchin'! My Dad mowed a strip across the street from his house for years (there was a corn field across the street then) so that he could see traffic when he got to the corner. I mowed his yard for years after I moved out, and started doing it too... even after he died. Civic pride? Maybe a little, basicly just common sense. Okay, I'm done... walk away from the crazy man and no one gets hurt. ![]() ~Jake

James Garner, 86. A terrific actor. I grew up watching him in Maverick on tv, and in The Great Escape on the silver screen. The Rockford files is STILL a fan favorite, and he was great in Victor/Victoria and more recently Space Cowboys. R.I.P., Jim, and thank you for the wonderful memories! ~

I recieved a wonderful, complimentary message from an unexpected source today. When someone tells YOU you're wonderful, especially when they are world-class beautiful, it makes a guy want to fly above the clouds! My thanks are endless, my heart is for the moment full of love and admiration. ![]()

| Monday, July 14, 2014, 5:56:59 PM- Monday... again? | ||||||
Monday has arrived once more... and I spend these fleeting moments thinking of you, and how you never contact me on your own. I just recieve second-hand comments about my meanderings, or a little (supposedly) quick-witted note in answer to something you know I've written. Such is life... I knew all along you didn't love me. Love... what an over-used word! The world could use more of it, but for me, not at the expense of false emotions. I'd rather have someone tell me exactly how they feel about me than to look at smiling faces that just want to stab me in the back, or let me fade away (in their eyes) because I don't grovel at their feet in worship. ... and everyone probably thought I was going to write about how much Monday's blow. ![]()

She said: "You want to put that there? No way!" I said: "Why not?" She said: "Because, if you put it there someone could get hurt." I said: "Really?" She said: "Really!" I said: "So there's no chance you'll EVER let me put it there?" She said: "None. Never. End of discussion." Sadly, I placed the claw-footed umbrella stand out by the curb for the junkman, vowing to give up on trying to help her with her home decoration. ![]()
