Unlike everyone else, I will NOT go on bemoaning today because it's Monday. It is a short work week, so I prefer to think of today as Tuesday.

What a great day! Weather was superb, and now I'm going to make a quick couple of sandwiches...

I dreamed of a co-worker this morning before I awoke... twice, actually. She is the head of HR where I work, and a VERY beautiful, intelligent, sexy young woman of 40. Divorced. We hit it off from the moment we met, and there is a real mutual attraction... we always seem to brush hands or shoulders as we pass in the office, even hugged warmly once. Trouble is, there are rules about inner office dating, and the fact that she commutes from a town 60 miles away. She can't leave her two sons overnight, so even a brief hookup is impossible.

I get hard every time I talk to her, and I see her flush and smile at me because she knows what she does to me. She even eggs it on with her body language... stroking her hair, crossing her legs, leaning over at her desk, knowing I'll glance down her top. If it weren't for the fact that I will be retiring in a little over three years I would risk my job to be with her... at work, in the parking lot, ANY where!

Odd thing... when I got online today, there was an email from some social site (she is on none of them) saying there was a match for me in my area (spam, of course). The woman had the SAME name! Are the higher powers trying to tell me something?

Needless to say, she has been on my mind all day long. There are two women on NN who look similar to her, so I suppose you can imagine what I'll be fantasizing about shortly.

As the old Eurythmics song says:

Is it really true what John Lennon said about the English getting their tan from standing in the pouring rain?

Today seems to be my chance to find out... it's coming down in buckets here!

This inner ear infection has made me wobbly the past four days, but today I can stand up or bend over without feeling woozy, so I am on the mend.

I watched David Lynch's "Mulholland Falls" for the first time in 14 years last weekend. Not his best work. Blue Velvet is far superior.

So which part of the movie is the dream... The first almost two hours, or the sloppy ending?
