I work afternoons, which means I don't go in to work until 5:00 pm. Generally, I sleep until around 11:00 am every morning. Not today, though. A neighbor decided that 7:57 am was the correct time to start cutting down a tree today. Followed occasionally by feeding parts of the tree into a wood chipper. This song started going through my mind as I lay in bed, dozing off and on: I miss the days when I had my 1964 Chevrolet Impala SS. For people like those who woke me up early, I could drive by their house around 3:00 am and rack the pipes off a few times to show my appreciation for their lack of mine. ~ | ||

Had a dream last night that i was in a band with someone named Wayne Benson. I'd never heard of him or the name before, so just for kicks I Googled him today. Come to find out, he's a famous mandolin player in the bluegrass genre. WOW! Now, if only I can dream of winning lottery numbers... ~ | ||||||

It is just after 7:00 p.m. here. Unless I want to got to the campus area bars (which, at my age of 64 I don't), it's another Saturday night at home alone. No worries... I have food, booze, the internet and t.v. to keep me company. My Mid-Western town used to be a lot of fun, but since all of the industry left here (the last factory closed 8 years ago), the streets roll up at dark. They leave the street lights on for those delivery people so that they don't get lost. Ah, winter in the Mid-West! ~ | ||
