When I was a kid, Rock and Roll was in it's infancy. Bill Haley and the Comets, Buddy Holly & the Crickets, Chuck Berry, Little Richard and DooWop ruled the airwaves. Then the Beach Boys brought us Surfin' Music. But the biggest change came with The Beatles. They put out 12 albums, changing their style with every record and rock changed with them. Just about every style of music we listen to today sprang from those changes in style (even Rap - listen to 'Rocky Racoon' sometime). Today, I just felt like going back to my roots. To see where you're going, you need to see where you've been. Class dismissed, kiddies. ~ | ||
