depotguy's blog post - ugh

Monday, October 8, 2007, 7:51:27 PM
Come home from a nice weekend up the shore to 10 inches of sewer water in my just renovated basement.

Goodbye big tv......goodbye new carpet........goodbye dryer (washer works Go figure) so far the water heater seems ok also. Cross your fingers for the furnace. Thats where the dollars all add up.

I'm not upset.

They are only things. (things not covered by insurance....yet things)

Check with the municipality and see if 1) others were affected; 2) there is some sort of reimbursment plan...

omg...they sure as hell should be covered under your insurance if you have a basic homeowners policy...only the repairs to the sewer would not be covered...but the damage to the house and personal property should be
