depotguy's blog post - oh the difference

Monday, April 20, 2009, 12:43:59 AM
I learned today that for young people, texting is seen not as a way of communicating but as something to do.

I got a text from a friend asking "what are you doing?" I texted back that that I was about to pass out from boredom. He texts back "me too"

In the old fashioned days of telephonic communication That would be seen as an invitation to get together and do something. So I text him a list of things we could do. He texts back "could we do something another day?"

So I guess he WAS doing something......texting
