Snow, snow, snow, It's been coming down all day. I have mixed feelings about it. There are so many things i still wanted to get done around the house. So, add this to my "life in the country is different" file. I went today to drop off my recycling at the local town hall. It was my first time going. I visited the site when I first bought my house and i took a picture of the sign with the hours and rules, etc. So I followed all the rules to the letter, and they were very specific. I esp. noted the one about NO GARBAGE. If you aren't able to sort it....you can't throw it. So I pull up with my VERY SORTED garbage and this fresh faced 17 year old gets out of his car to inspect (I assume) Oh...and when I say fresh faced I mean the way they seem to breed them up here in the northern stretch of the dairy state. Perfect rosy cheeks and eyelashes for about a yard, well, I digress. Anyway we take a look into the bin and it's all dumped together. Glass, plastic, aluminum....all mixed!!! I'm like WTF!! and I ask him why the sign says all one thing and the bin another. He just looks at me like I'm from another planet and shrugs. I ask him whats in the other bigger bin. He says "garbage" |
