Forgiveness is a gift we give ourselves. When I forgive someone I am freeing myself from the power their actions had over my life.

Way too often we look at this from the opposite perspective and we think we are letting someone get away with something. They will have to take that up with a power far greater than our hatred.

I am glad I have learned this lesson in time to enjoy it.
