charlie07's blog post - Hmmmm..Good news & not so good news...

Firstly my final nursing exam went really well today even if I say so myself...I find out the results & consequently whether I've passed on July 14th...whoopee no more studying or cramming
Micky spoke to his mum tonight...the good news is the cancer on the kidney is miniscule & has virtually gone due to the chemo,consultant is not worried about it at all...however they've found NINE cancerous lumps on her liver the largest is 1" ,the other eight are approx 1/4" each.They don't want to operate unless they really,really have to because of her age & also she would have to lose 1/2 her liver.So at the moment they've given her 2 options...more chemo to try & reduce them (hasn't worked so far !!!)or at least keep them in check...or option 2 is two burn them off with a probe (apparently doesn't always work & has its dangers as well).But overall it was very positive,she seems as though she's had a small weight lifted from her shoulders,& Micky seems a lot more at ease tonight.
The thing that choked us both was she's asked for our bank account number so that she can transfer a couple of thousand pounds to help us with buying the house in Kent.Totally out of the blue but very much appreciated.When you've got good ones parents are the best things in the world,they never let you down & they're always there for you.
