Hi,
Just to let you know what we've been up to...as you know I'm taking my nursing exams,I'm on the final leg now,one more to go on June 22nd,then no more studying,no more cramming & no more exams...yippee!!!(thats if I pass,which fingers crossed I should do).
We're (me & hubby 'micky07') also in the middle of selling our house & buying another one,which as you know can be a bit stressful.But we're in the lucky position that we get a house with Mickys job at a peppercorn rent,so the house we're buying we'll be letting out for the next 17 yrs until we retire,then we move into it...its in a lovely village in Kent,which will mean nothing to anyone outside the UK as I should think the only place you'll know in the UK is London !!! Actually we'll be 30 miles below London.
I'm not sure if we told you before but Mickys mum is not very well.Last year she was diagnosed as having cancer of the bowel...they had to operate & take out all her bowels & they fitted a bag.She had sessions of chemo etc, & we thought that would be an end to it.However when she had her final check ups at the end of Feb they found it had spread to her kidneys & liver,both she & Micky took it really badly,she's had all sorts of tests,extra chemo,etc.Last Fri she had two final scans,the results are due back on the 21st June,which is when they decide what they can do,if anything.Micky has been checking on the internet & it looks like if they don't operate (which they may not do because of her age...she's 73)then more than likely she'll only last 18mths tops.Micky has his ups & downs,tends to throw himself into his work so as not to worry as much, & dips into NN now & again & does a bit on the forums.I think its the waiting that is the worse,the not knowing.
I feel a bit guilty when I go on NN at the moment but he says he really doesn't mind,as you probably noticed we haven't taken as many pics lately,Micky still takes some of me now & again to keep my 'fans' happy.
So roll on the 21st/22nd June (my exam & mum-in-laws cancer results) then hopefully we can get our lives back on track.
