Back to the birthday party. Well, besides ‘boy next door’ one of the guest made a lasting impression. Not a good one I must say. She was the girlfriend of a friend of my dad. And listen carefully, she was 25, he was 58. I always wonder why a young woman would stick with some so much older. Not that I don’t believe there could be love. Who am I to judge them? But after watching her Friday, I’m almost certain there is more then only love in the game. Anyhow, the reason why she was the conversation of the day was because she lost her bracelet. And everybody new it. She was making like an enormous fuss, making it sound it was my parents fault she lost it. I know my mum didn’t like it at all. It’s your birthday and someone lose something precious. And on top of that, she was insinuating a lot of things. My dad’s friend was even a bit embarrassed about her reaction. But anyhow, she lost it, and everybody had to look for it. In the garden, in the house, in the bathroom,… Like everywhere. You can imagine this news spread like fire. So at a certain moment, everyone was looking, talking about the missing bracelet. At the end, we didn’t find it. Who knows where she lost it. It could be anywhere. My mum said she would look for it the hole week, and if she would find it she would call immediately. And like my mum said to her, many people lose or forget something, but they always find it. I just hope my mum is right. But so far she didn’t found it. I know it’s no fun to lose something, but that girl was like ruining the whole party that night. By making such a big deal about it. Luckily, her boyfriend said she should calm down, seeing the night wasn’t about her. So luckily she listened to him, but she didn’t say much anymore. I only hope my parents can find it, and give it back to her. Anyhow, that was most of it that night. Ooh, no fireworks, that was a bummer. But in general, besides the missing bracelet, the party was a blast. |
