Is mother instincts .... my opinion with no offence meant. Look at
this Lioness raising a Leopard cub ... I love these type of scenes so
very beautiful ...

sure is Sun, we are more used to domesticated animals acting like this
life in the wild can be harsh
but usually (i'm told) this is most lightly to happen
when a mother lost a child (cub)

We came upon a female baboon one who had a dead sibling ... it had been dead for 3 or so days but she kept him close. It is quite common behavior with baboons ... interestingly some people have the belief that animals have no souls, I believe on the other hand for the show of feelings there should be a soul present ... Animals just care for what's important to them, just like us humans they care and love...... both my dogs love each other and share each others food toys and so. Animals just don't lie about emotions what you see is what you get, they love unconditionally or they just ignore or dominate
