I seriously doubt it. At least not in the U. S, A. We are about to celebrate Independence Day. The majority of folks gladly give up freedom for promised security. Since they don't understand true freedom, they are not really giving up much, in their estimation.

you get the ideas that a lot of people connect freedom
to money, luxury and security, like you rightfully said ... and that
can't be further from the truth ... :-)

People often say money can't buy happiness. That may or may not be true. What is certain though, is that money, and the unbridled pursuit of it, is fatal to freedom.

Ultimately freedom is how you live life, politically nobody is free, but money hmmmm it gives you a lifestyle you can freely choose depends on the country you seaside in. So in essence it's not a free world in the true sense of the word.... but woul certainly enjoy it more without money worries
