Skin 2's blog post - The forum

The forum is, or was important to those who use it, but in my opinion it's a small part of this site. I estimate no more than 5% of active members either post or lurk. I base that on a generous figure of 250,000 active members with maybe 500 regular or semi regular posters and between 10 and 20 times that number lurking. Of course this is a guesstimate on my part, but I think it's a reasonable figure.

My point is, I don't understand why NN is being so draconian in its application of the new rules - especially deleting Goodbye threads - on a part of the site that probably has little impact on the commercial viability of NN, because 95% of members aren't interested in the forum. They're too busy looking at naked pictures.

Oops, I got all serious for once. Back to daftie mode next blog.
