Fierceboy's blog post - Wasteland Weekend

So forever ago I was supposed to blog some pics and choice moments from Wasteland Weekend, a post-apocalypse themed camp-out/party in the desert I go to every year. Every year it gets better than the last and as a self-proclaimed post-apoc fetishist I'm in a state of bliss the whole time I'm there. Here are some shots from this year.


We arrive in the Wasteland and hastily set up our tent before the ominous clouds on the horizon would reach us. Then set straight to the business at hand...

These guys came running up to us and explained that they had stolen their friend's enormous chair and he was angrily texting them about it for weeks so now they were just responding by sending him picture messages of the chair he was so worried about in weird fucking places. My friend here leapt at the chance to pose with the chair.

Day two we dress in our post-apoc finery and take on the persona of Wasteland Aristocrats. We had fun coming up with an increasingly elaborate back-story the whole time that would get longer and longer anytime anyone asked us about our wear. It's a shame this isn't a better picture of FG2's outfit because it really did look awesome. Sections of the dress were ripped away and replaced with window screen outlined in feathers.

These people were awesome and rode around harassing and threatening everyone the whole time. They ruled.
