Hello luvvies, Sorry for my absence from NN. I have had a lot on my plate for the last few months, especially this month. Emotionally I feel completely drained. No Christmas cards or anything was sent out as everything was packed away ready for our move in the middle of December. Well the move was a bit of a to do lol..... Rocky & I managed to move a lot of stuff in the car, small stuff I guess, boxes bags and bits and pieces like the hoover etc. We had to move our moving day back by a week as the previous owner still had furniture in the home that she had not got moved or sold. Then we hired a removal company for the bigger stuff like the freezer, couch and bed etc .... NO way am I up to moving all that anymore (my illness or whatever holding me back a bit) plus going up and down 3 flights of stairs would of killed me lol. So the move was done in about 4 hours ish, the removal men got paid by the hour, they were good at there job but our couch had to be repaired as the seam at the back of one side of the reclining couch had a tear/rip in the back part - only about an inch but still a tear/rip. So the removal company paid to have it repaired - no problem. Plus to just rub it in my desktop went tits up and refused to accept the recovery process for a while - still working on it. It does help sometimes to borrow a computer.

Hello Luvvies, Sorry I have not been around for a while but I have had various things happen this month and it is not even the 1st February yet!!! Firstly or Secondly, I cannot remember now. As I said several things have been going on. Before we moved it appears that my internet connection was not as secure as we thought, but it is fine now. (I will not go into detail). The next is that my trusty desktop computer has decided to give up the fight to live ...... At the moment I just cannot get it to wipe itself clean and do a rebuild on it. I can get it to load alright - just a little slow ..... but if I try and get into a program does not matter what it is, whether it be my emails or NN or anything it takes it time and then I get a pretty colour blue screen with a page load of writing and it tells me that 'windows has experienced a problem and has blocked/stopped (I cannot think of the word at the moment) the screen process' and before I can read anything else the computer then goes to a black blank screen and shuts down, only to restart (by itself) and then the whole process starts again ........ after 3 or 4 times trying I give up and if I can I borrow a computer if I need it ........ which I do and I will tell you about why I do in another blog. One day at a time ........ Love and stuff, Elle xox

| Thursday, January 17, 2013, 3:48:05 AM- Yesterday And Today ....... | ||||||
Yesterday ....... Well I rebuilt this old computer - To take it all back to day one of its life was the easy bit ....... then came the most frustrating and annoying and time consuming thing .................. THE DAMN DOWNLOADING OF THE UPDATES Restarting and starting and pulling hair out. Well 12 hours later of the uploads I had had enough and went to bed. Today ........ Finishing off the downloading of the updates took at least 1/2 of today. Today ........ Rocky and I took a trip to the DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles) where upon we had to visit with THREE departments, upstairs and downstairs - lol. Firstly to the County Treasurers Office to make sure the taxes had been paid on our home and to get the tax authentication and to pay any taxes owing and to pay the filing fee. Luckily we only had to pay $20 and some pennies - so that was done and pain free ![]() Secondly we then had to go and sit for a while in the DMV section and wait our turn (not long at all - we found a nice DMV where the queues are not so long). There we had to get our home title transferred into our names and pay some more for the filing fee, that was under $10 - so again fairly pain free. Thirdly, and this is what tickled me, we had to go and get another ticket and wait just adjacent to where we had been and wait our turn - lmao. Luckily enough we were the only people waiting at the County Recorders Office so was seen straight away, this was so all the information we went through beforehand was recorded into our names, again another filing fee of $21 was paid. Took us approx 2 hours and I am being liberal with the time. My goodness - it would be so much simpler to pay just once instead of three times to the three different departments that all sit hand in hand - lol. at least it is keeping three people employed ![]() Anyway the home is now in our names so we are fully fledged homeowners, NO one can take that away from us and now I am an English woman that owns property in the United States (Rocky's words) After the trip we popped into Wally world to grab a few bits. Today continued ....... Some more updating downloads and then finally I could get back to putting stuff back that I had saved on my external hard drive. Downloading the new messenger services that I use and various other things. Tomorrow is another day and I shall put my Office stuff back so then I can keep my head and play with my spreadsheets ![]() So now i'm up to date and ready to get back to it ......... Oh by the way during the rebuild of my pc i also had a bit of work to do on Rocky's laptop yes that had updates and other stuff to sort out, so I was kept busy ![]() Love and Hugs, Elle xox

| Friday, January 11, 2013, 9:23:52 PM- Why Most Divorces Are Initiated By Women! | ||||||
Why Most Divorces Are Initiated By Women By Cathy Meyer, Women initiate two-thirds of divorces and far more of the separations, according to a nationally representative study by the American Association of Retired People. This study is based on surveys of more than 1,000 divorced men and women, aged 40 to 79. The most common reason the women gave for divorce was verbal abuse and emotional neglect. At the time of divorce many of their husbands had no idea what hit them. Or, so they say. According to AARP men are "caught off guard" when a wife requests a divorce. Being a woman and, knowing women the way I do, we talk about our marital concerns. We are problems solvers, communicators and when it comes to our marriages we tend to be more concerned about the state of the relationship than men. Women usually are the first to suggest marital therapy. We buy self-help books on marriage and relationships to try and improve things. We have a tendency to not only express our concerns about the marriage to a spouse but to also talk to friends. In other words, before us women give up on a marriage, we leave no stone unturned when it comes to attempting to solve the problems in the marriage. Below are examples of why women leave from a few women I coached over the years: 1. "I'm only important when he wants sex." 2. "He comes home from work, eats, turns on the television and zones out. I clean the kitchen, bathe the kids, fold the laundry and then he gets upset when I'm too tired for sex." 3. "I've never heard him say he is sorry. He plays golf every Sunday, watches football on Saturday but when I tell him it hurts that he doesn't want to spend time with the family he tells me I'm too sensitive." 4. "I greet him at the door every evening asking how his day went. I listen, empathize and show concern for what he goes through at work. We've been married for 13 years and have 3 children. I work as a receptionist, take care of all child related needs and housework and he has NEVER, not once asked me how my day went." 5. "He has to be stroked. If he cleans up the kitchen he struts around like he has done me some huge favor. If I don't bow down and kiss his feet he becomes defensive, tells me I don't appreciate him. I work, take care of the children, the house, mow the grass on the weekends and if a car gets washed I do it. For some reason though he doesn't feel a need to fawn over me for all I do." 6. "He changed the moment we married. We have no friends, we no longer go out to dinner or casually take in a Sunday afternoon movie. He seems to go out of his way not to spend any time with me other than sex. When I talk to him about feeling neglected he is absolutely mystified, just can't understand and tells me I'm expecting too much from a husband. He even told me once that there were many women out there who would love to be his wife." Why are women divorcing men? The examples above say it all. Women want a husband they can trust, someone who is interested in them and their needs. They want a husband who takes their feelings into consideration. They don't want a husband who takes them for granted or tells them their expectations are too high. Especially when all they are asking for a is a husband who is emotionally invested in the relationship. Maybe fewer men would be "caught off guard" by divorce if they spent more time listening to and hearing their wives instead of viewing her needs and concerns as unreasonable and demanding. Elle - My first marriage of 30 years was built on Non Love And really me being young - I had the emotional neglect. My marriage to Rocky is 10,000's time better - I am never neglected in any way. shape or form - Best move I ever made ![]() Love You Rocky xox
