Bitcoin now at $4,600 - I cry when I see my old forum posts here when it was like $100 or less
I still don't understand it... Hope you bought low

I remember you asking if people on nn thought bitcoin would be a good investment, in the early days of it. Wish I'd invested in it too!

Sadly I sold what little of them I had long ago as things are so tight...

but if I had invested as little as $1000 or so then it would be worth about 1.5m today!

I think it will collapse at some point, it may even be made illegal to trade in it, it's being used by criminals and terrorists to fund their activities allegedly, it can only be a matter of time.

sidders73 the whole point of it is they can't make it illegal as the is no govt in control of it - sure USA can but there is the rest of the world - every country would have to legislate against it

Hi NN, so you think it will continue ?
Ha! Based on that logical analysis, sidders, I suppose we should make all currency illegal - cuz criminals and terrorists use it to fund their activities. laugh

It would rely on individual countries making it illegal for their citizens to trade in it, I admit but I can see that happening.

Terrorists obviously use other currencies but they're using this because it's untraceable. governments have a responsibility to make it as difficult as possible for these people to do business.

I genuinely believe it will implode at some point and those reasons were just a couple of factors that I believe COULD influence that.
