Recommend a dual purpose bike ?
I need something to get to work on through traffic, but also want to be able to do some off road stuff as well.

Anyone here recommend ? Would prefer not to have to service it every 10 hours is about my only requirement ... but looking good as a super motard would be nice smile

How about a BMW F800GS or a KTM 640 adventure for a medium sized bike? Both massively capable of RTW or TW&B (to work and back!)

Suzuki Dr650 I think is the best bang for your buck. 55-60 mpg cruise 65-70. Very easy to work on.

I have an f800gs bmw, thay are great fun off road and on, I have been on the 'moors' off road and also toured France on it. Very easy to ride and handle like a sports bike if not better. I also have a r1200gs adventurer, but for your purpose the 800 is much cheaper and an excellent all round bike.
