As a minor aside here, when you get a chance NN after the smoke has cleared on this current shitstorm, could you give us an idea what "powers" the Support ladies have? For instance, I find it strange that when a user contacts them, they have to ask "What is your user name?" It now seems that they also don't have any sort of "hotline" to you and as a consequence we are being encouraged to flood your inbox with PMs in this sort of situation, instead of being able to filter them through live support.

It also seems absurd that online support can delete an account but not pictures. There are times when there are no mods around and pictures need removing quickly.

When I first saw Roxy's blog, about 5 hours after it started, Me E had already contacted Support and I, like I believe most other members, understood that to mean that the "management team" were at least aware of the situation. That is the reason I, for one, didn't PM you!

In defense of support the wording: "(07:51:14) Visitor i've logged into status and there seems to be real concern over pics being displayed on another website" is a bit vague, add to that: " is this a site run or owned by NN ?" I understand the confusion. However support should have asked a simple question, "Which site?"

And why when pics are deleted from gallerys and blogs do they still show on google image search ( and they are not on other websites ) ?

when photos are removed they are removed. we do however use a CDN (content delivery network) to serve all photos and videos whichs means that it can take up to 5 days for photos to be purged from the delivery nodes.
