Haaahaaa, I moaned to my dad about not being able to do the wallpapering. He told me to hold off till he came up later.

"Yay!" I thought to myself "He is coming to help me!"

Haahh, he came up and gave me a LESSON on how to hang wallpaper!! I know how to do it for heaven's sake, the walls are misbehaving. I suppose it did help, he gave me a couple of pointers to help me out and I did manage a few more sheets up before giving up for the night and pouring myself a well deserved and very large glass of red grin

Only one glass tonight though, we have the funeral tomorrow and time to say goodbye and pay our last respects. It's going to be a tough day and I'm finding myself sitting shaking my head in disbelief still that he is gone forever and never going to walk into my house again with a goodie bag of sweeties for the girls and a sweetie for me too, because he knew I would only steal theirs if he didn't bring me any! Dammit, now I'm crying again.....

That's it, enough is enough! I give up!!

I started wallpapering my room today but after 3 very frustrating hours and walls that are impossibly squint I admit defeat. I am going to have to hire a decorator to save the day. I don't understand because I have wallpapered before and managed both my hallway and living room before, but I just can't do it this time. All I have succeeded in doing is pretty much half of one wall and totally stressing myself out big time... grrrrrrrrrrrr

I think I will just take it easy for the rest of the day and see if my blood pressure will come down any smile

Monday, May 28, 2012, 9:25:19 PM- A night on the couch
After a busy and pretty productive day I am pretty knackered and ready for bed. Damnnn, it's not gonna happen, I have just remembered that part of my productivity was beginning the decorating of my bedroom and taking down the old blinds that were up on the windows which I have hated for ages. I meant to chat my neighbour up to put up a curtain pole for me so I could get my new curtains up but I forgot to ask him and now he is away on his holidays for 2 weeks......

Looks like I am going to be sleeping on the couch for while sad

Monday, May 28, 2012, 10:02:14 AM- Tried and tested
Well the dog gate was fine and I tried it out by throwing him in the back of the car and heading for the river yesterday. We both had lots of fun splashing around in the water and it seemed half the county had the same idea on such a great day!! I also played around with my camera and got some nice pics.

I even managed a couple of hours of study time and later found time for a perv!! (I know, always time for a perv hu!) Since its nice again I am going to take the laptop and sit outside to study some more this afternoon....might as well study in the sunshine.

We were talking to the celebrant this morning for the funeral. We are having a Humanist funeral for my uncle since he wasn't even remotely religious. I have heard lots of people talking about Humanism lately and heard only good things said about them. A much better way to celebrate a life lived than the religious mutterings that meant nothing to the person who lived the life!

Haaahaaaa, so last night after a few drinks we were discussing the dog guard I have bought for my new car which has been laying out of the box it came in because after unpacking it and looking at the gazillion bits and really rather vague instructions I had decided to 'put it off till later'..... lol

Like I said, after more than a few drinks....my friend decided she could do this! Having built it up as much as possible in the house we came to the point of going out to the car to fit it. I climbed in the back seat and she was in the boot and we were doing a not too bad job of things until she goes and falls out the boot and does a little backflip thing and is rolling around on the ground killing herself laughing. We did eventually get it fitted but I'm thinking I really should go and check this morning to make sure it's not on upside down or anything!

Having just spent the morning galloping around on horses in the glorious sunshine, I feel the call of a BBQ and some cider and blackcurrant to make the most of a pretty stunning day in Scotland.

It's days like today that make me wish I had a more private garden.....some naked sun-bathing would be great fun, but never mind.....

I have just had a visit from the dog warden complaining about my dogs barking. He is quite bad when I leave the house and nothing we have tried seems to have helped so far. He just has really bad separation anxiety when left on his own. Even if I just take the bins out he pretty much has a nervous break-down. I really am stumped for what to do with him now. He is a part of the family and I don't even want to think about how this could end..............

Any ideas would be great smile

I bought new kitchen knives...I needed a decent set so to hell with it. It now looks like I need to work on my knife skills, my old knives must have been way blunter than I thought. I am seriously gonna lose a finger the way I have been going with them today, lol

1 pot of soup and about 4 plasters later....the soup looks good though, I have never heard of salsify before but thought I would try it so one pot of roasted garlic and salsify soup for dinner coming up...the lumpy bits may be chunks of my fingers though smile
