It's been a few days since Christmas and the excitement of the day has slowly faded. It was wonderful having the whole family together at our house. But it was also a relief to have my mother in law go back to her own home.

We didn't do a lot of presents this year. My wife and I promised not to get each other anything. But she broke down and got me a book. I gave her an iPhone which really almost nothing because of free upgrades. Oh God! Now she's turning into a texting fanatic.

It's Friday & I'm keeping busy around the house but I have no idea what we're doing this weekend much less have any plans for New Years Eve. I'm guessing we're staying home and just chilling for a change. We haven't done that in quite a while.

2013... think good thoughts and it'll be a better year than 2012.

It seems everyone is consumed getting ready for Christmas. That's not a bad thing. My mother in law is here for the duration. She's sweet lady and very nice but it certainly changes the dynamics of a normal day. Just hanging out isn't an option.

This afternoon I'm looking forward to watching the Illinois (#10) Missouri (#12) basketball game. Starts at 5:00. Don't interrupt me during the game unless it's for sex.

I've been getting myself back into writing new music. Maybe I've made that turn into the good space. Just for fun I've uploaded a little something to my voice greeting. It was recorded in my basement. Consider it a work in progress.

It sounds very good for a "basement tape." My attempts at computer recording have yielded poor results. Would appreciate some help. Yesterday afternoon I had a little oral surgery done. I was going to put completely out. I was a little freaked out at first and when the drugs didn't seem top work ... well, the next thing I remember was waking up. That's the only way to have messy dental work done.

The clock is ticking and time will run out to prepare for Christmas before you know it. My very limited shopping is about done. Now I'm wrapping all the things we've bought already.

My wife invited her mother for Christmas. Not thinking she'd accept I said that's nice of you to ask her. Well, you guessed it. She accepted!

Almost the end of November and I'm loving this weather. I even worked in the yard yesterday until dark. It seems I've got a few extra Christmas lights so I'm thinking they will go in the back yard just for fun.

Last week our Cardinal blew a 3-1 in the series and the season was over on a really bad note. We could have been in the world series.

No I just finished watching the Rams tank a big one against New England over in London. They weren't even competitive.

I can't believe its been so long since I logged on. Maybe as long as 3 or 4 weeks. My mindset had gone to a dark side but now I need to just get back into being myself.

It must be the job thing. When you go this long without being employed it tends to push your mind in an black hole. All this after never missing a single paycheck in my entire life. Money isn't an issue we're fine there but my attitude took a nosedive but its pointing in the right direction again.
