Had our belated Wedding Anniversary dinner tonight - we had a beef pot roast in the slow cooker with a chocolate cream pie for dessert.
Unfortunately a bit before sitting down I felt wobbly so Rocky helped me back to my chair - on the way I did fall towards him and hurt the small of my back and the top of my left shoulder. So much for this year so far.

Dinner was nice though

Today is mine and my love Rocky (rockhard_one3214)'s 8th Wedding Anniversary.

Here is our Anniversary meal - 2 beef pot pies. Since we have both been ill for a few weeks and we have had upto -35f and snowy weather and the holidays, we haven't been out to get something and tomorrow morning will be our safest bet as we have another winter storm arriving in the afternoon. I want to get a nice joint of beef and horseradish for a dinner, I have got the spuds and brocolli already.





I will say it again - Happy New Year smile

Today is the first day that I have felt up to being here for a while due to me and Rocky falling prey to a sickness bug of sorts.

Rocky has succumbed to the flu type thingy for the past week give or take a day or two - he was sent home on Wednesday as he was throwing up sad Friday was a day off for him - sucks being ill when you have a day off.

For me I have had a dry cough and seems like I have laryngitis, today I feel on the mend but not as good as I felt a week ago. I have no voice except for a really low whisper, my throat hurts occasionally, I haven't thrown up thankgoodness, I haven't slept so much, I have felt hot and cold throughout my body at different times. Both me & Rocky hadn't eaten for approx 3 days but have started to now.
Our Christmas tree is sitting in it's box waiting to be put up and decorated, it can stay there we haven't got the energy. No cards have been written or posted. No pressies have been wrapped and sent off to my kids or grandkids in England sad Guess a belated surprise will be descending 0n them in the New Year. We gotta go shopping yet for some stuff to eat (glad there is a ham in the freezer for Christmas)
