That's the shopping done and the dog had his walk, and apart from letting him out again later I am not leaving the house again today! It's pretty yukky out there, so in here with the heating on and soup bubbling away on the cooker is where it's at smile

We had a good, fun day yesterday doing the culture thing visiting a castle....although we did get quite a few dirty looks because we were having too much fun and spoiling the "culture" with our giggling and general carry on. Skipping along castle outer walls and climbing all over cannons and rolling down hills sideways does generate a few different reactions from people in general, but we all had a good laugh so who cares! I even made one old woman scream when we were playing "hide and seek" when she found me, lol

You hear lots of "stuff" about how people are always somebody else when they are online and they hide behind a persona that they pretend to be. I have started wondering how true this actually is these days. Modern times mean people don't really get to interact with each other in quite the same way they used to years ago and people these days have so many new ways to come into contact with each other and upset each other in the same way!

Couldn't it be closer to the truth to say that we are getting more to the heart of each other by cutting out the face to face interaction. I remember hearing something said years ago, that if you had a problem saying something to somebody face to face then just write them a letter. Now isn't that just what the internet is but only on a grander scale....Lots of letters written to lots of other people.

This blog is about nothing in particular, just some observations from chatting with people online and meeting many different personalities at different times, but there has just been a few things I have witnessed lately that made me wonder about what is the true reflection of people..

Probably being a bit deeper than I have ever had any reason to be!!

"They say you can't judge a book by it's cover. But it's nice to look at the cover sometimes and imagine what's inside. Even the old fashioned 'blind date' is a face to face meeting. Nice one babe, I liked your blog X."

So I have been off work all week and although I planned to get loads of stuff done around here, I really got not much done at all. I ended up going out for lunch twice through the week which ended up being lunch and then a whole day out afterwards. Then yesterday I met my mum for lunch and then had dinner out with the kids at night.

So, I am looking forward to getting back to work tomorrow so I can get back onto the diet and cut out the drink again..... Just as well that I only booked one week off because I think 2 weeks may have killed me smile

Thursday, October 18, 2012, 11:49:08 PM- I am still cool!
So, my daughter asked me tonight if she could have friends stay over...and being the great parent that I am I said yes since I am on holiday too and we have nothing much planned for tomorrow....

So I sat in the living room with them for an hour or so earlier before I decided I wanted some peace and quiet time....So I left and went and sat in my room for a bit. "A bit" lasted about 3 and a half minutes before one of my daughter's friends came through to talk to me about stuff that was happening at school, closely followed by another one of them then the last 2 which included my daughter.

Before I knew it we were all sitting in my room having a good old giggle and laugh and it was nice and amusing for a while....

But ffs ladies...yeah I am at the point where I know that in a few years I am going to miss all this, but I do still need to have my own little space sometimes, lol

Loving it and stressing at the same time....Is that normal?

I need there to be an extra day inserted into the week. 7 days just isn't enough lately to get everything done. I think just one extra little day...(and it would have to be a non-working day) would pretty much cover it for giving me enough time to get all the things done that are just at the really annoying stage now.....

And, it's always when you are laying in bed on a Sunday night that you remember half a dozen things that should have been done for Monday morning......

I really need to get more organized, or hire some help

Today was a day I have not been looking forward to at my work. I was getting thrown in the deep end work-wise and because of that I hardly slept last night for worrying about it. So when I arrived at work and the first problem being that I had changed bags at the weekend and my parking pass was in my other bag!! sad It was not a good start to the day... I had to abandon my car quite a bit away and run to work on foot to get there on time....

Then I came across this little guy/girl. He/she walked right up to me, stopped and did this...

It made me stop and smile for a split second before running on to face my day smile

What a week!! But it's Friday now and I am home from work and the sun is still out... Life doesn't really get much better than that right now!! Lol, I know I need to get out more obviously wink

I am determined to get out and do something half exciting this weekend, ideas can be submitted below tongue I feel like putting my walking boots on and maybe taking a walk up a big hill although that's not so clever since I can walk up hills but have a weird knee that isn't so good at coming back down again... Always interesting having to sideways shuffle down the steep bits though, lol

Anything that doesn't involve cleaning, cooking, or washing will probably be an improvement from my last few weekends though grin

Well considering how ill I was this morning, I have actually had quite a productive day.

I started re-arranging my bedroom this morning before realizing the true extent of my hangover from last night.... I managed to move the bed and then clear a space to collapse on which is pretty much where the next couple of hours were spent, all hot and sweaty and not the fun way to get hot and sweaty in bed.

After a few hours of self-pity I gave myself a kick up the bum and managed to get down to the shops to buy stuff for tonight's dinner, which I seem to be cooking for half the town again!! Then I braved the "room" again, which I had almost done I thought till I looked around and realized that I can't actually see my bed at the moment....Not good sad

So apart from that, pictures hung and new curtains hung too....

Now all I need to find is a bed for the night because I officially give up for today grin

phewwwww xx

Thursday, August 30, 2012, 9:33:41 PM- AA Rescue..
Always wear clean underwear in public, especially when working under your vehicle as a Leicester couple learned having driven to ASDA and then having their car breaking down.

The man told his wife to continue shopping while he fixed the car. Later the wife returned to see a small group of people near the car. On closer inspection, she saw a pair of hairy legs protruding from under the chassis. Unfortunately, the man was wearing shorts, and with his lack of underpants his private parts were now glaringly public ones!!

Unable to stand the embarrassment, she dutifully stepped forward, quickly put her hand up his shorts, and tucking everything back into place again. On regaining her feet, she looked across the bonnet and found herself staring at her husband who was standing idly by watching her.

The AA mechanic, however, had to have three stitches in his forehead.
