Old Friends
Good Friends
Friends who you have lost contact with &
Friends who no longer wish to be friends.
It's human nature to remember the bad rather than the GOOD and with all friendships there will have been both GOOD and bad. Try to remember the GOOD because I bet it out ways the bad by miles.
We can not change what has happened in the past but we sure can influence the future. | |
| Monday, September 05, 2011, 9:16:54 PM- Quick note re 9/11 | As I will not be around for a while as sunshine is calling.
I just needed to pop in and say "LETS NOT FORGET" those affected by that day in 2001. I know a few here were deeply and my thoughts are with you.
I can remember exactly where I was when I heard the news on that horrid day. Then trying to make contact with relations in the area.
9/11 holds even more for me as 4 years later in 2005 on the same day, my father passed away. Again I can remember that day as if it were yesterday, especially as I was not in the country at the time of his passing.
I think of him everyday, people say time is a great healer I guess it is but it still hurts. Certain songs take me back to times we spent together over the 40+ years we were in each others lives. | |
