I didn’t post this earlier because I didn’t want to detract from Mothers Day….sadly my only chance for a child (triplets actually) ended with a miscarriage. Then after that I was unable to conceive again. It’s the biggest regret I have in my life.

Therefore Mother’s Day is a blessing and a curse for me …I had the most beautiful Mum sweet kind and generous (she had to be she cared for 11 children)so this is the blessing, and as I read the lovely posts, blogs etc saying how wonderful it is to be a Mum so the curse is that I never got the chance.

Coming from such a huge family I was lucky that all my siblings managed to go forth and multiply so I am never without a miniature human in my life and now those children are having children and the next generation has even started so I do feel blessed, but I would have stilled loved being a Mum.

Never mind I ROCK being an Aunt and because I have a Peter Pan personality (I’ve never grown up) I am up there as the fave. So though I do admire Mums out there I’m still rampantly jealous of you all as well.

So I say celebrate Aunts as well!!!!!!!! We do a pretty darn terrific job

I dont know what wattage a grin can get to but I'm guessing Im there...just finalised a weekend away to beautiful Queenstown in the stunning Lakes District next month....this is super exciting on several levels ....1) I haven't been away from Dunedin in years 2) I spending time with one of my nieces who will undoubtedly lead me astray or I hope she will ;) and 3) I'm hoping to finally meet the great guy who introduced me to this site and give him a huge hug and kiss to thank him ....AND the bonus is over coffe I hope to get to gaze longingly at him while he chats to me with his English accent (we all know what a sucker for accents I am) ..... so yay can't wait
