Thursday, April 19, 2012, 6:43:26 PM- Gas/Petrol Prices (per gallon)!

Today I just did a search for the cheapest gas/petrol prices in my area.
Cheapest was $3.75 and $3.89 was the dearest.
For Diesel it is $3.86 - $4.14 per gallon.

When I first came to Colorado the gas was $2.23 per gallon - that was 5-6 years ago.

Will the price ever go down again? When will we ever find another fuel source that will suit everyone.

I spoke with my daughter the other day and her man is a trucker in the UK. He has been on overnighter's lately. The other night he pulled up for the night in a lay-by where 4 other trucks had parked up. When he woke up in the morning he found he had NO Diesel ............ Some fucker stole the diesel fuel while he was sleeping.
So ok the person/s who did this may have been hard up and couldn't afford their own fuel - but, did they ever wonder that what they did has repercussions? Arguments with the boss of the company and then Having to pay out of his own pocket for the fuel that was stolen!!!!! This will cause great hardship on the family.
Things are hard enough without having to turn to crime.

So everyone please take care out there because there is someone waiting for a chance to do you wrong or harm or both!

If you know of people doing something similar to this - please tell the authorities and DO NOT let another family suffer!

If you have a dishwasher try this when you spray your cooking pans/trays with non-stick cooking spray.
This eliminates the over spray on your work tops and equipment.
The over spray gets on the inside of your dishwasher door and then just washes away when you run the dishwasher next time, leaving your other stuff nice & clean and no oily film over everything.

ALMOND MINI CHOCOLATE CHIP SHORTBREAD (Made yesterday)

Recipe:
1 cup (2 sticks) butter (NO substitutions), Softened
1/2 cup sugar
2 1/2 cups All Purpose Flour
1 teaspoon Almond extract (OR to your liking)
1 cup Mini Choc Chips

Heat oven to 350F - Grease 13x9x2inch baking pan.

Beat butter & sugar in large bowl until fluffy. Add flour & Almond extract, blend well. Stir in mini choc chips. Pat into prepared pan.

Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, cut into bars or triangles. Cool completely in pan on wire rack.
Makes approx 3 dozen bars - depending on the size you want

I thought I would share with you my baking from yesterday with a little narrative!
Banana Bread With Raisins:
Firstly, Get The over ripe Bananas:

Then mash them in a bowl with vanilla essence. In A large bowl add the flour,salt,baking soda,sugar,eggs,oil and evaporated milk. Beat until well blended. Add Mashed banana, mix well.

Add raisins or chocolate chips. Pour mixture into prepared loaf tins.

Recipe:
3 cups All Purpose Flour , 1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
1 1/2 cups Sugar, 3 eggs
1/2 cup veg OR canola Oil
1 can evaporated milk, 4 RIPE bananas
1 teaspoon Vanilla essence/extract

This makes 3 normal loaves OR 5 small & 1 normal loaf.
Small = 35 mins - normal = 45 mins
Turn out onto cooling racks straight out the oven.

Try 1/2 cup raisins & 1/2 cup choc chips OR 1 cup choc chips.
