Meet Cheyenne Zoo's (Our local zoo) Newest Addition. A Nice piece of news after the terrible wildfire we have had. The zoo nearly had to be evacuated but the winds blew the smoke & fire in the other direction.

Toad in the Hole, made from an English recipe book that was made with American ingredients, that was kindly sent to me. A typical English meal, I did my best except for the American sausages. Saturday, July 7, 2012, 4:57:26 PM- Scan .........
Well as a few of you know I had to have a CT Scan a couple of weeks ago. Well The results are in. The doctors office has said that my brain scan results have not worsened over the past few years - so I guess that's good.... The down side is that it still confirms that the diagnosis for MS is STILL inconclusive! But my symptoms are as of a person that has MS - so please decipher that! ... We just do not know. Also we still do not know what is causing these sharp explosive head pains/aches - last time I saw my doc she said they were not cluster headaches ..... I still do not agree with her. I get to see my doc again in a few weeks so hopefully the scan results will be discussed more in depth and also to see what she now suggests me to do for these pains. So That is all I can tell you at the moment. You know as much as I do now. Elle x

Saturday, July 7, 2012, 3:44:01 PM- Wild Fires In Our Area ...... continued.......
The latest from our local TV News Channel: "We are still waiting on the latest containment numbers for the Waldo Canyon fire! As of last night, the fire still remains 98 percent contained." "A Flash Flood Watch is in effect through late tonight for areas in and near the Waldo Canyon burn scar. Immediately move to higher ground should floodwaters threaten. We'll be closely tracking the threat for heavy rain near the burn scar throughout the day." As if these people have not been through enough! And here is the very latest on the origin of that fire: "EL PASO COUNTY, COLO. (AP) -- Dispatch recordings show that Colorado's deadly Waldo Canyon wildfire appears to have started near a popular hiking trail west of Colorado Springs. The Denver Post reports Friday that recordings show firefighters searched the Waldo Canyon trail on the evening of June 22 and morning of June 23 trying to find the source of smoke, but their efforts were hindered by wind. On June 23 the fire exploded and went on to destroy nearly 350 homes and kill two people. That day, on dispatch recordings, at least two firefighters said the fire apparently started in the area they had searched. Authorities say they've pinpointed the fire's origin but haven't released details, including whether it was human-caused. The National Weather Service says there were no thunderstorms there on June 22 or 23." Kind of leads you to believe that the fire was started on purpose!

Tuesday, July 3, 2012, 6:06:18 PM- Rotten to the core .......
There I was at the kitchen sink last evening after some debate on whether to have a jacket spud (baked potato) OR just some boiled potatoes to go with my pork chops and veggies. Well I am glad I picked the boiled spuds cos after I peeled and began cutting then I came across this one - the skin was perfect and looked like a fine specimen to have as a jacket. Yukko Is all I can say - I would of been well pissed off if I had cut that in half on my plate as a jacket - I would of thrown the whole plate of food in the bin and have a bowl of cereal. Also a morale to this story - 'The outside of something or someone may look and feel beautiful Only to find the rotteness inside - and beauty is only skin deep' Look deep into something to find the truth and the real beauty and quality.
